Day 6 : Off to the Big Sky

So we got up this morning pack things up in Idaho and headed off to Big Sky Country and Glacier National Park in Montana.  As we headed into Montana we stopped at a few stores that advertised Huckleberry stuff in the hope that we could actually buy some huckleberries to make Huckleberry Pancakes.  But to our disappointment it is too early for fresh Huckleberries.  So we had to settle for Huckleberry syrup, Huckleberry Jam and Huckleberry Milkshake, I guess that is the best we are going to do.  Driving through Montana we definitely could understand why they call this Big Sky Country lots of wide open land and nothing but blue skies for as far as you can see.  I have to say it amazes me how much open land their is in Idaho and Montana (so far) where you could build a house and not see any of your neighbors and in contrast you have places like LA or New York city where people are literally living on top of each other.  Makes me wonder just how come we have these areas of wide open space and these areas of extremely dense living, why didn't people spread out more evenly.  Something to ponder on.  Well after about a four hour drive we arrived in Glacier National Park, found our campsite and made our traveling home.  We are here for two nights to enjoy the beauty of this open land with tall snow covered mountains in the backgrounds.  I am a little disappointed that we have not seen much wildlife yet but hopefully with a little exploring tomorrow we can find an animal or two.  Till tomorrow!!!
