Day 7 : Glacier by Horseback

So today we got up and after breakfast we decided to take a couple mile hike around McDonald Lake.  As we made it around the Rocky Point we could see the beautiful Glacier covered Rocky Mountains.  What a site.  After our hike and lunch we decided to take a two hour Horseback tour around the west Glacier area.  Ashley our tour guide from North Carolina showed us around several streams and lakes.  She did a fantastic job, thanks Ashley.  This evening we went to see the park program which was about the many specie that make up the ecosystem living in Glacier Park.  They also talked about how the park is changing as the environment warms up and many of the animal that thrive in cold environment may soon parish.  When the park was first explored in the late 1800's there were 150 glaciers and now Glacier National park only has 25 glaciers in the park.  Quite a change.  So tomorrow is another travel day as we make our way south to West Yellowstone Montana.  Another day in the books!!!
