Day 40 : RV Sauna ends with a beautiful Sunset

Well I would love to say when I got back that our trip went perfect but that will not be the case.  On the way to New Orleans the AC in the Cab of the RV died so for the rest of the trip we will be cruising with no AC in the Cab.  So you guessed it today was a travel day to the Gulf Coast of Texas and yes Texas is quite warm.  And if that was not all our Refrigerator died on us in NO also.  So I think someone in New Orleans created a Voodoo Doll of our RV and put a Voodoo spell on us.  Well we headed out this morning traveling through the East coast of Texas to Matagorda Bay on the Gulf Coast of Texas.  It felt like I was driving in a sauna in the drivers seat with no AC but life isn't always perfect.  Lucky we have scheduled a repairman to come out to our RV when we hit San Antonio to hopefully fix the refrigerator.  The AC will have to wait till we get back to Folsom and can put it in a repair shop.  So we will continue on with out trip.  Hopefully the weather will cool off as we continue West.  I did see at least the Grand Canyon is only going to be in the low 70s.  Well no all was bad today once we arrived at our destination we were greeted to a wonderful ocean breeze as our camp site is right next to the Colorado River flowing into the Gulf of Mexico.  And as we ate dinner we got to see a beautiful sunset.  Well we will have a fun day at the beach tomorrow and the nice thing is the water is warm and not freezing cold.

See even after 39 days on the road in a RV, we are still Married.

  1. Refraining from commenting because curse words are all that comes to mind. Oh wait... Colleen told you to start in the South so you would miss some of the heat...
